its finally over. so many months for prep. work. meeting every sunday at 745am for breakfast and prayer. having late night meetings. having so little manpower. was it worth it? i told myself then even if its just one person was touched by jesus. its all worth it. thank God he really moved. moved not just one but so many lives. i could see the cries of those people from where i was. it was definitely a beautiful sight. honestly, this camp has really taught us a lot. you dont need a very happening committee or a lot of manpower. all has to be within, cos God sees your heart.

during the beach games, so much problem we encountered at the stations. especially with SSSM and RFWF. actually, we were considering closing down SSSM because of its violence. and RFWF was not working out well. i was seriously very close to tears. blamed myself for not doing more prep. work and that God gave me this chance to bring fun to the campers and i screwed it up. but really give thanks to God for speaking to me. he inspired me on how to modify both games. thank God i was able to get those plastic cups from a group of strangers. thank God for the good weather. when priscy dora told me that the games were awesome, i was very encouraged. you dont know how much that meant to me.

honestly, i dont really know how fun were the games. like the icebreaks, beach games, night games and finale night. but my whole plan for this camp was to bring something new and fresh.
something that you guys will remember for a very long time. i hope i did achieve that.

so as camp is over, it marks a new beginning for some of us. to lingna, john chew, isaac and priscy - lets bring the good teachings and cultures of elohim to the new cell group. this young ones have a lot to offer to God. i truly believe that they are gonna be future leaders of the youths. such a privilege to have them. this is so exciting, to step out of our comfort zone and to give more than receive. weee.

a God who never fails is a God worthy of all my praises. amen.

well well well... camp comm did games try out run just now at ecp. ecp really changed a lot i must say. i guess the last time i was there was like 2 plus years ago? was there quite often last time with someone. she loves that place a lot, i guess she still very much do. so anyway, games turned out the way i wanted or if not better. really funny to see the camp comm doing all the silly stuff. one word, hilarious! i found something really sucky. before common test timetable come out, i was hoping friday wont have paper and guess what, really tio ah. the friday paper somemore in the afternoon, finishes only at 1230pm. then have to rush down to sentosa to lead the first segment of games. totally bs. guess thats how things work out sometimes.

anyway, congrats to lingna and esther on your confirmation. too bad i cant be there, heard from my sis that the service quite boring ah? and john chew kept dozing off. hahaha.. good thing he didnt snore like how he was at nats place. you guys wouldnt wanna hear it. trust me. its like cow mooing x10.

december is approaching real soon. my favourite month of the year besides june. by this friday, all the a level peeps will be set free. wonder how that feels. im actually suppose to be at su campsite now, serving in children's camp. but some how i just couldn't due to the fact that poly schedule is so weird. like my common test is on the same week as youth camp, like just a week before christmas? then the major exams is right after chinese new year. saddening isnt it?
those who has already signed up for youth camp. i can assure you that the games rock. 100 per cent sure on the beach games at least. hahaha. anyway, see you guys this sat for post exams celebrations. weeeeeeeee.

schools gonna start in a week time. so my 6 weeks of hols has been really rewarding. tho i made some tough decisions, i still think i made the right choice. well, to damien, jon, julyn, jing ting, cp, lyu and all. why i decided not to come training any more is because i only have 24 hours a day and have too many commitments. i have pretty bad time management too. i will definitely miss those times of pumping steel, rowing at kallang, running together, doing push ups and pull ups. you guys may think that its silly, but all i ask is for your support and understanding. we can always hang out and have fun any time. thanks for the wonderful friendships. love you guys. yosh!

1. Must attend the first few weeks of lesson because they always brief you on the whole summary of the module.

2. Go for lect, but just sleep. Anyway, lect is pointless and a waste of time. so just sleep. All you want is just the attendance right?

3. Go for the last few weeks of lesson because lecturers always give us hints, and just study hard on the hints.

100% proven cos ive been doing that for the past 3 sems and so far so good. hahaha. and im not getting bottomline grade. my gpa is a cool 2.222 anyway, not here to boast or anything, but sometimes i feel it for my jc friends. they have to study so hard for promos and then As. while i just slack, wear what i want to school and have fun! you guys should have chose poly instead man. not sure which poly to go? im sure many of you heard abt this before, but ill just say it nevertheless. if you wanna choose a poly, choose SP, why? cos Sure Pass. never choose NP cos Never Pass and what abt NYP, well.. Not Yet Pass. if youre feeling lucky your whole life, try TP, which is none other than Tyco Pass. but the most important thing in life, never b a PHD. cos PHD equals to Poly Halfway Dropout.

planetshakers concert at expo was simply awesome! went with most peeps from elohim and el shaddai. more like a section outing. the whole max pavillion was packed with people. estimated to be 20 000. so great jumping around, praising the Lord's name. wont never do anything else in exchange of that. the joy of salvation is priceless, only can be give through God and God alone.

i bought their new album and got it autographed. wooo.

the best part is i shook mike guglielmucci hand and talked to him a bit. he really inspires me to play bass for our God. awesome!

im a happy boy. woooooooo. my brother came back last night, like finally, after 3 months over at america. the best part is my bass is here!! awesome stuff, the look, the feel, the sound, the tone, ahh.. endless stuff to say about my new baby. now ive to work and pay back him back a total of SGD$1.2k.. cant wait to play for service soon. he also bought havaianas slippers for the whole family at korea. hahaha.. like everythings at half price. good that hes back, responsibility as the "older" sibling at home is now taken off my shoulders.

my mind has been thinking non-stop since ive got to know more abt the army study scheme. well, some might already know abt this. and yes, i am contemplating whether to sign on or not. making saf as my life career. even if i dont find it suitable after all, i can leave after i completed 5 years. and this includes my 2 years of service. the benefits, ive counted. if i sign on, i will get a backpayment of $11k at least and then on top of that, a monthly allowance of $1k. the best part is if i pass all my modules at the end of every semester, an additional $1.2k. something that is so easy to do. but money is not the one thats tempting me, largely because i seriously cant see myself doing at 9 - 5 job everyday and plus i dont intend to futher my studies which will make my monthly income just over $1.6k when i grad. but in the army, i will get over $1.9k even when im just serving my first 2 years. ive always wanted some fun and adventurous job. even thought of the line of a policeman or a pe teacher. hahaha. ultimately, army seems like the best choice. with those amount, i can save quite a bit for my marriage and better standard of living for my future family. i know its a bit far fetch, but its always good to have vision and plan for your future. i can say that abt 75% of my mind has made up. just waiting to talk to a few more people before actually signing on the dotted line. to sign or not to sign? ill appreciate your opinion. pls tag. thanks.

oh my oh my. dance practice is now 3 times a week. well, kinda expected with abt a month left and we are still so messy in the dance. jieling shared important stuff from her heart, so emotional that she cried. cos she wanted hip hop to be something big in our church, and she and serene has spend so many weeks preparing for this and some of us are not that serious. for eg, we dont practise on our own or fool around and etc. but i believe it will convict many of our hearts and do this right.

well, heres some info, my church will be having a concert on the 30th of july '06 at SAJC Cultural Centre. there will be dances like contemp, ballet, hip hop(im in here), broadway(mass dance) and etc. and also a few drama put up by andrew lua. some of you might even seen him before. just watch the macdonalds delievery advertistment. he is the mac delievery man with the helmet. and songs and poetry just to name a few. its gonna be an awesome night. ill invite you guys soon enough. hear from me soon! =D

im very sad. waited 8 years to see the netherlands to play in world cup and they have to crash out at only round of 16 in this manner. a game with 16 yellow cards and 4 red cards. with 25 shots to the netherlands and it ended 1 - 0 to portugal. really sad to see them getting knocked out so soon. awww. thats football.

hmmm. a very interesting day of my 19th birthday. spent half of my birthday back in malaysia, the last day of family camp and the other half at my lovely home. not going out either, since no one ask me out. awww. =( but i'm totally fine, with the stuff i got over at seremban, jusco. it was the ultimate shopping spree for me. bought like 6 tops from A&F and banana republic. all under RM$100. bro got my dream bass from US. the 97' fender precision bass american deluxe at only USD$653. ill have the pay him back though and my mum gonna get me bracers as my present. woooooo. and my sis got me a tee too. haha. cant wait to see what my other friends has got me. what more can i ask for. lastly, a big thank you to every single one who wished me. cheers!

been a long while since i last updated. reason being because ive been reaching home at 11pm or later since last thursday and still coming home that late. no rest, lack of sleep, physically tired in school leading to dozing off countless of times during lesson. just to let you guys know what ive been up to. been helping out at the shop selling customize t-shirts. its a fund raising project for the annual church youth camp at dec. so, every day after school, would rush down to help out.
im not complaining here, just saying its tiring and takes lots of effort. but every day we see how God moves. orders kept coming in even in rainy weather and today was excellent. total sales hit an all high of $467. praise God for that. this probably my last entry till i get back from malaysia. heres how im gonna spend my 2 weeks of study break....

10th Sat - Training/Cell/Worship prac.
11th Sun to 13th Tues - Metamorphasis (Harvest event camp)
14th Wed - FREEEEEEEEE! argh crap not, remembered there's training.
15th Thurs to 18th Sun - Church Family Camp @ Malaysia

my life pretty much going at 100km/h. so much so that i don't have time for myself to take a step back and relax much less blog. so caught up with trainings, ministry work, cell, campus crusade and also cambodia mission trip meetings. its really tiring me out. on one hand im like i need a break. on the other, im contented with all this busy stuff. i believe you only have one life, do as many ministry work as you can. dont waste it. grant me strength to presevere on.

i just went for my first ever physio therapy session. it was an interesting experience. was pretty scared at first but vivian made things comfortable, well because she's my senior. went through a series of questions before being access. i can't remember the name of my physio therapist, all i can remember is her two big, round........... eyes. she massaged my calf with johnson and johnson baby oil. smoooooooth. nothing much happen anyway.

problem with my 'knee' was actually my tendon and the hamstring. nothing really to do with the knee. it was said that i overused it or didnt stretch after workout. i believe its the latter. she said i can carry on my normal activities including running. but guys, i was told that when the pain sets in and its unbearable, i have to stop running. dont say i chao keng ah.

i realise that i always have the fear of running. every time the word 'running' is mentioned, i will be so reluctant. i don't know why, but i feel such a failure at times. because of my this pair of legs, having so many injury in the past, ankle sprained couple of times on the same foot, ligament strain on both knees and etc. and now, with my bloody left knee joint hurting again after the long run on monday. this totally suck. hate it when physical aspect and mental aspect are not in sync. who out there can understand what i feel?

oh wow. what can i say about today's kayaking orientation. simply excellent. well, at least to me. there were about 80+ i guess? hahaha. people might say its because of a 'C' but no, the freshies are really spontaneous and outgoing. really impressed with some, who are really fit. i think i was crap when i first joined and still is. all in all, awesome people make an awesome team.

last night marked a very memorable night. it was life concert 06 at SAJC. held at the brand new cultural centre which can hold about 1000 students. but last night was totally filled. i guess we had about 1200 people in the place. it was awesome to see so many non-christians. many from other school came too, like njc, hc, acjc and lots more. we were jumping up and down, praising and worshipping our God. the Lord visited us, students were saved and many rededicated their lives back to Him. ahem!

the band was not too bad, the dancers were even better. above all, Jesus Christ reigns!

My first ever trip mission. A country not so far away, but still deeply love by our Father. The lovely land of Cambodia will always be on my prayer list. I feel their needs, I understand their pains and I can share with their sorrows. But that is all I can do. Like what we learnt from this trip that people need the Lord.

I decided to go for this mission trip because it concerns children. To me, children are the best people to preach the good news of Jesus. Not only they are more willing to listen, their minds are not exposed much to the world and they can be the next generation for Christ. The kids in Cambodia are no different from the kids in Singapore or any else where. They are all creations of God.

Only in Cambodia, where I can truly experience the true love of God. This few particular verses kept popping up in my mind. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinathians 13: 4 to 7
It is very true over there. You will be amazed how simple gestures of love can really make someones day. A simple handshake, a simple hug or just a smile and they will greatly appreciate it.

One incident that struck me most is when this girl was calling out for me. I did not know what she wanted at first but soon realized she wanted my water which is about three quater filled. I gave it to her and she finished the whole bottle within 10 seconds. I have never seen any 5 year old kid so thirsty for water. It broke my heart, I did not cry though. How I wish I could just give everyone of them a nice cool chilled bottled water each. But we have to trust God, for He is our all sufficient provider.

I will continue to pray for the people in Cambodia. To share with people the situation that they in but they are still so happy in the Lord. God bless the Cambodians.

i came back on the 30th of march but only manage to blog now because the moment i landed. i had a terrible headache. thinking it was those usual headache, pop some panadol extra and hoping it will go away soon enough. but no. it didnt. my health deteriorated. began to have fever and started vomiting. only until this afternoon, i felt better because my parents asked me to stop lying around and make my brain work. therefore i turned to my laptop. actually it really works, no more puking, no more feeling that tiredness. it helps me to be more focused. pray that my health would improve further.

i felt bad that i doubted the Lord. thinking that i helped the kids so much in cambodia and the moment i came back, i was hit by this sickness. i've so much to share abt this trip but i'm stuck at home for 3 days already.

grant me strength, Lord.

i know my blog has some problem, unable to view it. i don't know what's wrong either but since it's okay for now, doesn't really matter.

mr500 today at lower seletar again. i must say jingting, julyn, chao po, jon and liying did well not forgetting the seniors too. cos those that beat them are so much older in age. NUS and NTU really whack all the other schools flat. like what jon said, "NUS create this competition for themselves to trash us." i truly second that. dragon boat was exciting to watch too, was my first in fact. always wanted to try out dragon boating, hopefully i would have the chance soon.

so to all who participated for today's event. honestly, a job well done and continue to work hard! and to damien, unfortunately you're unable to take part, but you always have the right spirit. the determination to win, bet you will land you first medal soon in no time. so no worries! cheeeeeeeeeeers all! =D

PRAYER WORKS!

i wanna thank God for His faithfulness and unfailing love. regarding to my mission trip support raising, i took 4 - 5 weeks to raise $670, was way short of the targeted $1200. i even thought of paying the remaining sum by myself. thought of giving up was so real. because i prayed quite a lot but must confess that it wasn't enough. i know it well. but come yesterday during service, jayce, lingna, chris and weelee gave their responses and it was a total of $650. so all togther i've raised $1320, was over the budget. praise God!

went commissioning today and foochow methodist church. an event where they bless and send out all the teams. places that they are going are australia, east asia, cambodia, laos, malaysia and locally. quite cool, meeting all the other teams. saw a couple of church mates. one week to mission trip. can't wait for it to happen. TELL THE WORLD!

just a day to stay home and enjoy the peace and silence. i've been out of the house everyday and can only forsee more to come. so busy with meetings, trainings and church stuff. i need a kit kat badly, so i can have a break. yup, i know, not funny but whatever. woooooooooo.

had team meeting together again, third time this week. went over to joy's place and her dog is so cute. her youngest sister was even cuter. she makes funny noises like, "boo!" and "bionk bionk"
she's only 7 and super duper cute! if only i had a picture of her. how i wish my sister was to be that young then i'll be able to bully and tease her everyday! yeah!

anyway, tomorrow is gene and lisbet's wedding at rasa sentosa. will be playing for them during their service. so not going training, don't know whether it's good or bad but at least i know i can finally sleep longer on sat. Leave you with this.

celebration after exams, went to sentosa with my bunch of classmates. did lots of silly things, it was fun though. nothing much, usual stuff what you do there.

and lastly, congratulation to my boy, benedict fan for getting into the poly he wanted. great job there. we've done it, everyone in a different poly. of course not counting rp, but if you wanna consider lam in, then hell yeah! so ben, better work your sock off in poly, play time is over and get over your mohawk!

first of all. to all my fellow man utd fans. let's enjoy the sweet success of being a carling cup champion, cos you never know how long will they take to lift another silverware. lucky for now, their cabinet ain't that dusty anymore after a 2 years drought of silverware. hah.

had my analogue exam today. pretty fun to do, hints pretty close all thanks to mr chong. he's such a great lecturer.

went to mission medical clinic with michelle and lydia for vaccinations in the afternoon. had 2 injections, one is blood test to check whether i need injections for hep a & b and the other is typhoid or tetanus. and drank a cup of choleroid. all that costs abt $108 already. excluding influenza and maybe hep a & b which yet to be taken.
never knew all this cost this much. doctors really make big bucks.

injection sucks. but i love the thrill. don't you?

i have just kayak and officially completed the 28km race. my timing ain't that great. to be exact, 4hrs 11mins and 50secs. a very long time to be sitting in the kayak. imagine the pain you have to go through. the mentalitly that you have to overcome. but i'm glad that i press on till the end. was trying to signal to chao po that i wanted to quit after the first round. my butt was totally cramped up and excruciatingly painful. really wanna thank God for pulling me through. i love the experience where you are out there alone, so desperate, so helpless, so hopeless. but i know i can solely depend on God for source and strength. i prayed to Him countless of times for help during the race. well to me. it was a big achievement. something that i can be proud of myself. like finally something that's of worth. unlike last time, counter-strike and shatteredgalaxy, totally trashy stuff.

one event that happened during the race. this particular girl on a t1 infront of me, suddenly capsize. i was like "darn, have to waste my time saving her." before i know it, she shouted, "NELSON!" . stunned for a moment. shouted back, "MELISSA!" then started laughing at her. hahaha. she was my cousin lah. how coincidental can it get. funny stuff.

valentine day.

went out with melissa.................................................................. and the jackballs. hahaha. singles night out. fun stuff. dinner @ carl's. my meal was $12.50. but totally worth every single cent. went arcade after that. ok guys, you better try out this game "House Of The Dead 4". EXCELLENT!
but it comes at a price though, 2 bucks for a game. kill those zombies! blast the sh*t outta them.

saw many many many many many many many couples today. really happy for them. but was i envious? quite frankly, not at all. some of you might go... "ahh. nelson, you don't have a date that's why you say this." but seriously, come to think abt it, i have been out of a relationship for more than a year now. so glad with myself. relationship to me is a whole new meaning to me now. was never meant to be a come and go thing. never will believe in the "try method." past relationships has taugh me well. cheers.

ahh. today's the release of the O level results. i was taken back to a year ago exactly where laura presented me my result. really thank God for it. well, for someone like me, who never liked studying, getting f9s for most subjects. and now, awaiting for my final exams to come for year 1.
what a ride it had been. if i had failed one of those subject, never will i meet those great friends in kayaking, never will know how lucille's sister looks like, never will i be doing silly feedback form on lecturer, never will i eat cheap macs meal.

sometimes i wonder, how studies can change someone's life. the path you will take. the people you meet. the influences you have. the experience you gain. so, whatever comes by, do the best you can, don't live your life in regrets.

i am out for 2 weeks. argh. crap. i can't run, can't work out properly much less walk properly. just because of this huge reddish ugly looking spot on my sole that's called blister. it really hurts pretty badly. how i wish i could just down painkillers. it is taking me on my toll. with the competition coming up in 11 days time. things just can't get any better.

watched i not stupid too just now. here are some cool facts about the casts.

firstly, the girl that is acting as chengcai's(joshua ang) girlfriend, jingjing(natalie). she was my "childhood sweetheart"! we were really close last time when she was 5-6, and me 6-7. really funny. she's all grown up now and havent seen her for ages.

secondly, chengcai(joshua ang) is in my cousin's cell group, she never told me that. hah.

and lastly, to those of my friends in naval base. this guy from sec 4 last year acted as an ah beng in the movie. i dont know his name but could recognise his face. he said a line though, "the police is here." and he's really fierce.

overall, touching but funny at the same time. give it 4/5. watch it!

hmmm.. this week has been really stretching. finally i can be home and just dota away. hah. before that, had lunch with cell at ps and just went shopping around after that. sorry kenneth about that. couldn't post anything because time is really limited. trainings, meetings, projects and more. poof. next week just gonna get worse. more trainings, more meetings and more projects to rush. just can't wait for chinese new year to come. money money money. woooooooooooo..... kinda miss some of my relatives actually. oh well. anyway, have a great week ahead.

alrite. finally, let me get on with my first post. anyway, just some background about why i wanted to set up this blog. well.. it's rather simple, i want people to know how God has worked, is working and will work in my life. giving Him all the thanks and praises for what i am today.

hmm. well. some might know this already, i'll be going to cambodia from the 20th march to the 30th. it's gonna be my first mission trip and i'm really excited about it. love the people in my team, really funny especially daniel. hah. i need to raise $1200 by 11th march and i have less than 2 months. so to all my christian friends especially, expect some support raising newsletter to come your way soon.
